Dog breeders and product pushing
There is one thing I can’t stand when it comes to purchasing a puppy, & that’s breeders who product push! You know, the ones who add in their contract that you must buy x,y,z product from them in order for you to get a full health guarantee on your puppy. Or they simplyjust take advantage of people who don’t know any better by pushing this “amazing product” your puppy “needs to be healthy” This is wrong & I simply won’t stand for it.
On the flip side, I can’t stand the companies hounding me to sell their products to people! I got fed up with my inbox getting flooded with messages from NuVet trying to get me to sell their products I finally replied & this is what I said.
“Hi, please remove me from your list, I really don't want to sell NuVet. I've researched your product & I don't like it.
Also I get more people praising me for not trying to sell them products they don't want or having a "catch" in my contact for their puppy's health guarantee like many breeders these days. It irritates me when breeders have stipulations that I must buy Nuvet or certain dog food etc when buying a puppy & I simply won't do business with those breeders. What is says to me & every other customer who's had this experience is "the breeder is just trying to cash in as much money off their puppies as possible" & from my experience it doesn't mean you're buying from a responsible breeder who cares about their dogs health, it only means their trying to make an extra buck off the customer.. Point being, I do not want that kind of reputation, or loose potential customers do to me pushing products.
Thank you very much, I hope this may offer some insight as to how the general public feels about product pushing. Thanks again for offering, but no thank you.
Sincerely Crazy Patch Ranch”
My health guarantee is based on the fact that I am confident in my dogs health & I am prepared to do what’s best by my customers & dogs no matter what! Because my dogs matter to me, because sometimes no matter how much we health screen, no matter how hard we try to raise health dogs, they are still living beings who have flaws like all of us. I am never going to tell someone “Well, you didn't give your dog *insert random product* so you're health guarantee is void” why on earth would a reputable breeder do such a thing?
Sure, I want my puppy parents to be educated in nutrition for their puppy's health & I will offer my help & guidance in providing healthy nutrition to their puppies. But what I refuse to do is push you to buy something that I'm selling for an extra buck..
I just had to get that off my chest.. Thanks for reading ~ Teagan at Crazy Patch Ranch
